The Written Word.....
Give me a pencil that will erase the last week of chaos, please. I'm an amateur astrologer, at best, and I (mostly) forget about all those astral forces and their significance in our human (read this as falsely superior) realm. Had I been one who heeds the 'signs' of them, I might have considered that a week beginning with the end of Mercury's retrograde motion (chaos - are all your mechanical devices dying on you as well?) and Vesta finally turning herself around again not since mid-April (home, family, relationships) - I might have prepared myself and made sure there was chocolate in the house. Frigg...
And Frigg (or something very like it) is what I loudly proclaimed this morning when I jumped on this information traffic jam to download the next clue on MS3. Look, I know that Melanie warned everyone that there would be no written instructions on this knit and I weighed that information SERIOUSLY before deciding that I wanted to knit the stole bad enough to try a chart. Then, like magic, or Divine intervention even, someone just MADE THE WRITTEN WORDS APPEAR! I, like a child at Christmas, was very excited. Also like that child, I then expected all Christmas' to be wonderful...for life to stay the same....for the friggin written word to be there for me every time. Well, I should have studied up here as well. I've been negligent in keeping up with the knit-group posts (thinking that the stole was the priority and since I was so far behind and I'm a dork so I like to be on time and stay caught up and stuff that I should just put my head down and ram my horns into a post until the work was done) and I apparently missed out on some key WARNINGS (how hard is it to read a few messages and a horoscope, you might be thinking?) that the written word might be crashing into the wall of reality and that Melanie's warning (for those of us who go blind and cross-eyed looking at the charts which, in my case, usually ends in yarn abuse) would be the only written word. Agh! Pour water on me. I'm melting.....melting.
People, let's all try to be a lot nicer than we think we need to be - it is the only way to make sure that we avoiding hurting others and, if it is unavoidable, our wrongs will be easier righted. You there, quit trying to kick me off this here soap box. Speaking of doogooding - Rabbitch is at it again (did you believe she'd ever really give it up?) so get over there and start making some washcloths for her. I will push on with the cursed chart but I was one child who sat in the pumpkin patch adoring and appreciating the Great Pumpkin......and I thank those who did the work. Now, I'm off to bang my head against that post for a while and get some knitting/spinning/dyeing/weed-pulling/kid-rearing done.
